This design is named in honour of two exceptionally brave and capable sisters, Charlotte and Cornelia De Grassi. Over the course of several days during the Upper Canada Rebellion of 1837, the fifteen and thirteen year old took it upon themselves to spy on the rebels, report critical information to the loyalists, relay secret messages across enemy lines and, ultimately, escape amid respective hails of gunfire.
