Create an Account
Creating and signing in to an account lets you view orders, download invoices, checkout faster and sync your favourite items.
For approved dealers: in addition to the above, signing in to your account allows you to access wholesale pricing.
To create an account or sign in to an existing account:
Click the account symbol in the upper right corner of our website;
Enter the email address for your account, then click Get Sign-in Link.
Open your email inbox where you should find an email from Ecwid (our shopping cart provider). The email contains a link that, when clicked, will return you to our store as a signed-in customer. It can only be used once and is valid for 14 days.
Simply repeat the process for subsequent visits.
If you do not wish to create an account, you can always place an order as a guest!
Payment
We accept credit card payment for orders placed in our online store.
Discounts
Advertised discounts (if any) apply to retail sales only unless stated otherwise.
Shipping
SHIPPING METHOD
We ship via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Monday to Friday, not including holidays.
IN-STOCK/OUT-OF-STOCK MERCHANDISE
In-stock items generally ship within 24-72 hours. If shipment of your order is delayed (for example, because an item you have ordered is out-of-stock), we will contact you by email to let you know. You will be given an estimate of when your order will ship and the choice to: (1) wait the estimated time it will take your entire order to be ready to ship, or (2) have us immediately ship just those items you have ordered that are in-stock and receive a refund for the outstanding item(s).
PRE-ORDERS
Estimates of how quickly pre-orders can be expected to ship are clearly noted in individual product descriptions.
ORDER TRACKING
You will receive an email when your order has shipped that will include a tracking number you can use to track your shipment on the Canada Post website.
SHIPPING TIME/COST
The time it takes to receive an order that has shipped varies and depends entirely on Canada Post. Estimates of both the time and cost to deliver your order to your address will be shown in the shopping cart prior to placing an order.
MISSING/DAMAGED SHIPMENT
If your shipped order does not arrive or arrives damaged, please let us know so that we can work with Canada Post to resolve the issue.
ORDER CANCELLATION
You may cancel an order at any time prior its preparation for shipment (including the creation of a shipping label). Simply contact us with your request.
SHIPPING REGION
At this time, we ship only to addresses located in Canada.
Returns/Refunds
We offer 30 day returns for all online purchases, except sale items (which are considered final sales), in their original, unworn/unused condition with tags attached and/or in the original packaging.
Customers are responsible for all shipping charges associated with returned item(s), except when a refund has been requested because an order either did not arrive or arrived damaged.
If you would like to return an item or there is a problem with your order, please contact us and let us know what item(s) you wish to return, the reason for the return and your order number.
Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will refund the purchase price to your original form of payment minus the cost of shipping. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund has been processed. Please allow one week to ten days for funds to show up in your account.
We recommend using one of Canada Post’s trackable shipping options and, if the items being returned are valued at over $100, purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot be held responsible for returned items we have not received.
This policy only applies to orders placed in this store, not to purchases made with retailers carrying Explorken merchandise.
Sustainability
The well-being of our natural world is important to us so, while we take great care to package your order securely so that it will arrive in pristine condition, we strive to use as little packaging as possible. Most orders are shipped in lightweight, plain, mailers without additions such as tissue paper.
We have chosen to ship using Canada Post Expedited Parcel because it is both convenient for most Canadians and carbon neutral. In Canada Post's own words:
"For every tonne of greenhouse gas emissions generated by...domestic ground delivery services, Canada Post makes them carbon-neutral by removing one tonne from the atmosphere through the purchase of high-quality, accredited carbon offsets".
"Canada Post prioritizes Indigenous-owned or led, nature-based offset projects in Canada...[for example] the Great Bear Forest Carbon Project. The project protects forests from logging, conserves and grows existing carbon stocks, and reduces emissions caused by harvesting, road building and other forestry operations. The project is wholly owned by a unique alliance of First Nations, creating jobs for the future while protecting the Great Bear Rainforest".
Product Care
Our silk scarves may be washed in cold water with 1/2 cup of vinegar and 2 teaspoons of salt. Fill the washing machine with water (no ecocycle). Machine dry on the delicate setting or hang to dry. May be ironed on the silk setting.
